Several years have passed since seeing my first gourd and purchasing it at a farmers market. It was like a magnet that drew me to it. The gourd came home with me and stayed until I found out that you can make many beautiful and interesting pieces of art or craft items with gourds.
Time has passed and I have created many decorative gourds. Some have been awarded ribbons at the San Diego Fair, California Gourd Society competition, and Valley Center Art Association. Gourds are addictive once started.
